‘The Day We Meet Again’
I was lying on the warm sand, watching the world drift to sleep as the sun set over the ocean, when “On the Nature of Daylight” began playing in my ears. My mind immediately wandered to a darker place, imagining how a young girl might cope with losing the love of her life. The sand, the water, the beach—everything—reminds her of him, so much so that she begins to question the worth of a life without him.
I have never experienced such a loss myself, but I wanted to explore the perspective of someone who has.
